How it all started...
In June of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, on a whim, I decided to make a special rustic wood torched American flag to commemorate this fantastic nation we live in. I shared this flag on social media and was flooded with requests from friends and family to build them a flag too. The American spirit for freedom of expression soon surfaced as friends and family asked about customizing their flag giving it a personalized and meaningful touch. With requests for flags multiplying my wife started helping with production and in a short time Freedom Flags became a small family business. We enjoy our time spent together combining our craftsmanship talents to create one-of-a-kind handcrafted rustic wood art.
What's happening now...
Our small family business has transformed to Tj7co LLC. While we still make handcrafted rustic wood flags, we have greatly surpassed this enterprise. With the purchase of two CO2 Laser engraving machines, we can personalize more products than we dare mention. We've expanded into four Painted Tree Boutique stores: Kingwood TX, Champions TX, Baybrook TX, Cinco Ranch TX, and plan on opening up shop in Edmund, OK, come Fall of 2025. We may be a bit sleep deprived yet we wake up excited about today's new creative adventure. If you have met us at the annual events we attend, such as the Humble Fair & Rodeo, Humble Good Oil Days, or the Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo, when asked what we can create you've heard us say “we are limited only by our imagination”. The American dream is still alive if you are willing to put in the work.
